I saw this problem as well, the modprobe iwlagn bt_coex_active=0 work
around worked.  If you want, this link provides a script you can add to
automatically run at restore:  http://askubuntu.com/questions/67280
/wireless-doesnt-connect-after-suspend-on-an-asus-k52f.

Just substitute iwlagn for ath9k and use /sbin/modprobe iwlagn
bt_coex_active=0.  worked like a charm for me
