Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: starfighter

The sound in the game gets stuck in a small clicking loop, which
occasionally advances to another small loop (less than a second) after
extended play.

The game was running for over 8 hours, 4/5 of which it would have been idle.
Gameplay and GFX are still fine, but eventually the audio (both SFX and Music)
went into this state.
The game was started with music disabled, but music was later enabled, probably
a good 2 hours before this started.

Background tasks also running on the desktop were Amarok (nothing
playing), GAIM (with the occasional login/logout event) and Firefox.
GAIM would have been the only thing actually to potentially have used
audio resources, but has successfully done so before without trouble.
