The Ubuntustudio icons have changed radically since I first reported this bug, the version I used then and still use today is no longer supported. I did not follow the changeover to XFCE and the new icons, preferring the old ones and gnome-shell with gnome-shell frippery. I found that the source of the bug was the high resolution of the svg icons, and fixed it in my own systems years ago by reducing ther resolution of the offending icons, mostly the mp3 icon.
I do not have the bandwidth to download the entire new distro to test this package, using a mobile connection.
