Isn't this expected behavior? You modified files belonging to a .deb
package, so the md5sum is going to change.

If Optipng is modifying files belonging to a .deb and debsums isn't
complaining, then shouldn't you file one bug against debsums (or
individual bugs against those packages instead of the ones that debsums
is correctly identifying)?
