Public bug reported:

I've encountered a wart when using the KDE installer. I used 'Manual
partitioning'. I had only one NTFS partition and I tried to resize it.
When I tried to apply the change, I got an generic 'operation failed'
message.

I switch to using ntfsresize from the terminal to do the resizing
manually. I found a better explanation message there: it told me that
the partition was dirty (wasn't closed properly) and that it couldn't
resize such a partition. I was able to complete the operation after
allowing the 'Check disk' operation to complete in Windows.

Putting the appropriate error message in the graphic installer would
surely help users who don't know about the command line.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
