I was thinking all along that something probably regressed in the Kernel. But I just recently saw this post - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/877509
It seems running ubuntu-bug and letting it play the test audio seems to fix the audio issue . And this worked for me. So now I am doubting if this is a kernel bug or just a configuration issue somewhere. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/887913 Title: Regression - Oneiric: extremely choppy audio, multimedia unusable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/887913/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
