Public bug reported:

When someone has a vhost or a ipv6 that matches with a smile and joins
in a channel, Pidgin hides that part of the host showing a smile
instead. For example: "
foo!bar@2001:pdb8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334", pidgin would hide ":p"
showing a smile.

Pidgin shouldn't do it with hosts.
