Public bug reported:

This happened because I had a dvd movie in my drive. When I opened the
usb creator it took as source the movie. I did select the iso with
ubuntu from "Other..." but for some reason it still says that my usb
stick doesn't have enough space. I removed the dvd from the drive and re
opened the usb creator but still the same.

Title:
  Startup Disk Creator says "The device is not large enough o hold this
