Oh, man. This filled up my root partition today, eating up over a gigabyte at a rate of something like a megabyte a second on my precise alpha 2 system, kernel 3.2.0-15-generic 64 bits. Workaround was to disable wireless, rotate logs, restart wireless. It happened while I was downloading eclipse from eclipse.org at a starbucks, but simply retrying after restarting wireless didn't trigger the bug.
