Re request of Vassilis Pandis to attach /var/log/installer/syslog,
/var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman: The computer on which I tried to
load Ubuntu will no longer boot from the Ubuntu disc nor will it boot
Windows from the hd. A search on the Ubuntu cdfor the files in question
on another computer did not find them. (The Ubuntu cd seemed to work at
first. When I tried to back up to add a swap area [I don't remember
what it was actually called] on recommend of the installer the computer
crashed.) When I tried to re-install the computer crashed as depicted
in the original bug report. I selected the option to have the install
program automatically partition the hard drive. The hard drive, at the
time, contained Windows 2000 and had been partitioned in anticipation of
installing Linux.
