actually, i didn't do anything by myself. so, i don't know how to reproduce the failure.
the system was nearly idle while i was away from the computer. running applications: KDE 4.7, Thunderbird, Firefox. I locked the screen and went away. coming back after ~40 minutes, the screen was in standby mode (as expected) but the system itself did not respond any longer. i had to do a hard reset (pressing off btn some secs - turn on again). there are no auto standby settings active. expected behavior: the system should not hang? I attached the corresponding syslog output and hope its helpful, because there are some kernel errors... ** Attachment added: "syslog" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/936946/+attachment/2769959/+files/syslog -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/936946 Title: System freezed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/936946/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
