Never mind. I've just learnt something. Although Ubuntu 11.10 for x86
uses a 3.0-based kernel - see https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux
- , Ubuntu 11.10 for the Toshiba AC100 uses a 2.6.38-based kernel, as
show at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-ac100
It does indeed look like a non-BOINC problem. Awaiting results of
testing with Ubuntu 12.04.
