I have the same problem with : Vidia Corporation G72M [Quadro NVS 110M/GeForce Go 7300] Like Felipe Sampaio I change the driver in xorg.conf to nv instead of nvidia and it solve the problem but it disable automaticaly the desktop effects. Then I change again to nvidia and disable manually desktop effects. It works too. So this bug appears on my computer only when enabling desktop effects using nvidia proprietary driver. Hope it helps.
