[Problem]
On RS880 solid grey rectangles appear over icon text and window borders in some
applications in a compositing environment, namely Unity's launcher. Unity
developers are able to reproduce this and say it is a video driver / mesa issue.

[Original Description]
on current natty, clicking the Ubuntu button in the top left shows a window
with graphical corruption as shown in the attached screenshot. sometimes there
are solid grey rectangles over the icon text too.

This shows the corruption on text.

I have reproduced this particular corruption myself on an RV770 when
running unity and using the dash.

I'm the upstream reporter of this. I can't characterize when it happens
but it is fairly frequent. Let me know if you want more information.

This is most likely a 3D driver bug. Are you using r600c or r600g?

Same with me:

OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on AMD RV770
OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 7.10.2
