Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
I am running Feisty with xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.6.3 installed with a AGP
Radeon 7000 series.
If I supply the ati/radeon driver in my xorg.conf I get a black/blank screen
before the GDM. If I do happen to make it into the desktop I lock-up with video
corruption at the top of my screen if I switch to a console tty and then back
to the desktop tty.
The vesa driver works perfectly fine.
If i comment out dri in xorg.conf I can get past the GDM but it still results
in a lock-up once I'm in the desktop.
I have not been able to find any errors in any logs. I will attach the
xorg.conf and Xorg.log.0.old, along with a backtrace.
