As asked at: http://upower.freedesktop.org/ I tried to post something on the upstream mail list for upower (on freedesktop): <devkit-de...@lists.freedesktop.org> my posts was ignored. So I think Canonical is not responsible as they inherit the code. Try yourself to writo to them.
