I just learned from that discussion on x264, that only that ffmpeg maintained by ffmpeg.org is named "ffmpeg" , while that maintained by libav is (re-?)named avconv.
I'd really recommend to follow this naming scheme in debian/ubuntu packages to avoid ambiguities and further confusion, especially for the upcoming LTS version. I'd propose to have an avconv package for libav based things and maybe another ffmpeg package for that based on ffmpeg.org. regards -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/937678 Title: missing support for H264 profile main level 3.1 and security issue To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libav/+bug/937678/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
