Public bug reported:

Hi,

On an up to date Edgy release, root on software raid fails to boot
correctly. Grub refers to root=UUID=2c1bfc82-...etc

After a timeout whilst waiting for the root filesystem, it fails with this
error.
ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/2c11bfc82...etc does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

At that point I am left in a BusyBox shell.

If the grub boot line is edited to say root=/dev/md0, the system boots
normally and correctly.

/dev/md0 comprises two scsi disks, /dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb1

Regards

Kyle
