Public bug reported:

This bug appeared after today's Precise update (24.February).
The version of gnome-settings-daemon is  (3.3.90-0ubuntu2) and it fails to 
start with the following error:
me4oslav@me4oslav-laptop:~$ gnome-settings-daemon

** WARNING **: Name taken or bus went away - shutting down
me4oslav@me4oslav-laptop:~$
What happens in result is that Unity / Gnome-Shell / Any other 
gnome-based-session is seriously screwed up (see the attached screenshot)

     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
