When I try to select the Macbook Pro Keyboard from layout -- > keyboard 
setting, I am getting the following error message .
 I am using ubuntu 10.04 . I have made it to update till date.

Error activating XKB configuration.
It can happen under various circumstances:
- a bug in libxklavier library
- a bug in X server (xkbcomp, xmodmap utilities)
- X server with incompatible libxkbfile implementation

- The result of xprop -root | grep XKB is

Note: This  error also, pops out everytime I turn on my Laoptop.
