We don't use clutter in a default desktop install of Ubuntu/Kubuntu, so
this is is relatively low-risk. It'll unblock delivering a full GNOME
3.4 desktop, so this looks fine.
Can you take care of the full transition? If you and Rico will sort this
out, approved.
