Bug also affects me. When it crashed I went ahead and filed a report -
after filing and some searching around I marked it as a duplicate of
this bug. Bug happened to me when I was dragging and dropping a shortcut
to the unity panel. Video I was watching froze and the window manager
(compiz) crashed.
a brief terminal command of 'apt-cache policy compiz' reveals the following.
apt-cache policy compiz
compiz:
Installed: 1:0.9.7.0~bzr2995-0ubuntu5
Candidate: 1:0.9.7.0~bzr2995-0ubuntu5
Version table:
*** 1:0.9.7.0~bzr2995-0ubuntu5 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
My system was updated on the 26th of February 2012 with the latest
version of unity installed (unsure of the version number but it is 5.0
or higher. will report back with an exact number when I get back to
machine). When compiz crashed the bug reporter auto-filled the title of
it with the title of this bug report.
