Hello together!
I could also SOLVE my problem, even without any changes to the bios ACPI
and APIC! There has been not a single USB mouse freeze for several weeks
now.
I did two things:
1. Adding a kernel option: I added the following line to
/etc/default/grub:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="noapic nolapic"
2. Upgraded kernel to 3.0.0-15 (automatically through Ubuntu updates)
Maybe upgrading the kernel is enough to solve the issue. I kept the
kernel options in place since I didn't notive any adverse effects.
