Hello together! I could also SOLVE my problem, even without any changes to the bios ACPI and APIC! There has been not a single USB mouse freeze for several weeks now.
I did two things: 1. Adding a kernel option: I added the following line to /etc/default/grub: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="noapic nolapic" 2. Upgraded kernel to 3.0.0-15 (automatically through Ubuntu updates) Maybe upgrading the kernel is enough to solve the issue. I kept the kernel options in place since I didn't notive any adverse effects. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/627862 Title: USB Mouse freezes randomly but consistently To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/627862/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
