I suspect, and can almost say I know, that the acpi in the machine is
not working correctly due to the Phoenix bios. This has been a problem
since breezy and regardless of the number times I report the problem, my
computer continuously shuts down. If I play a movie in totem along
with uploading a larger file to a server via ssh, shutdown!. PLEASE OH
JESUS PLEASE make this a priority. UBUNTU is absolutely useless to me
and to sooooooooo many others if it is continously shutting down. I see
this happening everyday to people who try to switch, here at LSU, and I
have to tell them, no luck, try it again next year or buy a new
computer. The sad thing is, I move more and more people to ubuntu each
week, since I am on a campus, and I cant even demostrate a working
laptop. PLEASE HELP!
