When I checked for proprietary drivers via: System > Administration > Hardware
Drivers, it searches for some time and a dialog-box with following the
following message appears:
"SystemError: installArchives() failed".

I tried to to re-install (because it was already installed) the BCMWL package
via the Synaptic Package Manager (SPM). Then during the installation some error
gets reported with the following error message:
"E: bcmwl-kernel-source: subprocess installed post-installation script returned
error exit status 10".

I am on Lucid Lynx 10.04.3 and the output for uname -a is as following:
me@my-laptop:~$ uname -a
Linux my-laptop 2.6.38-12-generic-pae #51~lucid1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Sep 29 21:44:10
UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux

I can give more information if required.

Thanks in advance.
