I was able to recreate this using a Precise Live CD from this week. ** Description changed:
This has been true pretty much for the whole dev of 12.04, certainly since A1 Currently the most likely result will be an endless flashing on/off of part of what may be a corrupted greeter, hard to say, only partially shown. Previously it would just go to a black, non responsive screen with blinking cursor. Only thing that can be done is cause a restart A log out/in has several uses - the least of which would be to try a unity-2d session Only have nvidia hardware so can't say if limited to nvidia or not + + Test Case: + 1) boot a live cd + 2) choose try ubuntu + 3) log out + + observe repeated flashing of the screen ** Changed in: casper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: casper (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Tags added: precise ** Tags added: testcase -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/943037 Title: Log out/in not working in live session To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/943037/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
