Yes Torsten, apt should interact with the user in order to keep the number of 
kernel images rational. 
I've looked at manpages and couldn't find specific notes about linux-images and 
autoremove. 
It autoremoves linux-headers although not very clever, at the moment it would 
remove linux-headers-3.2.0-16 but not -15.
