Please reconsider. I am the author of the original patch and found out that it needed to be rewritten for xfce4-terminal-0.4.8. The crashes (segfault when closing the preferences dialog) are gone.
Ubuntu uses a modified vte. And it is modified in a way that changes the default behaviour (bad). So all applications that use vte need to be modified as well to support the vte modification. The bug is still present in precise (of course, vte is unchanged) and I would really like to see it fixed in a LTS release. ** Patch added: "Patch against xfce4-terminal 0.4.8 to make scroll alternate screen configurable" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-terminal/+bug/781164/+attachment/2802573/+files/xfce4term-scrollalt048.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/781164 Title: mouse scroll in xfce4-terminal when running vim (man, info) doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-terminal/+bug/781164/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
