Public bug reported:
The /etc/networking/interfaces file in the default live-cd environment
has:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet manual
This prevents network-manager from managing the wired interface on the
system.
This is on Ubuntu Precise 12.04 Development Branch i386
