I had the same problem on suse 12.1. I installed cups 1.5.2 but tht did not resolved the problem.
I was using a livebox with ipp://192.168.1.1:631/ipp on a HP laserjet printer. I always got the same message : printfile was not accepted. I expected that the new cups version take into account the patch.
