Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xine-ui

I have many video files stored on a remote system which I access via
SMB/CIFS. I know that Xine-ui supports these because I can drag the icon
from Nautilus onto the video window, and they play perfectly. What I
cannot do is associate the file with Xine so that double-clicking it
opens in Xine. Firstly, Nautilus seems to disregard file association
rules for non-local files. I'll set that aside and take it up with the
Nautilus devs later. Main problem: when I specify to open the file with
Xine, it opens Xine but forgets to open the file with it. I don't see
any errors or indications of what it tried to do.

This problem affect Gentoo's version of xine-ui as well. It's possible
that it's a bug in how nautilus passes the uri for the video but I'm not
sure how to tell. Is there a way for me to check the command line that
opened xine? Is there an error log I can turn on for debugging?
