Some details might help. This was an install of Feisty. It was a 250GB SATA drive which had previously held a single NFTS partition. It was the second drive on a new desktop machine (first drive of same size holding vista). Manual partitioning was being done from within Ubiquity and I was guiding the person installing over the phone. He had made a 30GB partition for root and a 2GB swap partition and was trying to assign the rest of the disk for a /home partition. The error message was not present if he made a smaller partition. A google search showed up one or two others having the same issue but I didn't find an assigned bug.
