Hi, I'm sorry but I can't reproduce this at all. Can you check in your "System Settings" -> "Keyboard" panel, opening the "Shortcuts" tab, selecting the "Navigation" option in the left pane, and verify that the shortcut for "Switch Applications" is "Alt+Tab"?
Do other global keyboard shortcuts work ok?
