Binary package hint: dia
My Firefox 2.0.0.3 on Ubuntu 7.04 refuses to display SVG images I have
exported from Dia.
In at least a couple of instances, I have been able to work around this
by opening them in Inkscape, making a minor edit (actually also involves
fixing things which displayed incorrectly in Inkscape -- haven't
investigated whether the renderer in Firefox would display them the same
as Inkscape or the same as Dia, or yet a third rendering), and re-
saving. This suggests to my uneducated self that there is something
wrong with the SVG export feature in Dia.
