Definitely not fixed.
I got routed to bug 911834 after I experienced this crash.
alex-mayorga@VPCCW1FFXL:~$ apt-cache policy python-gobject

Happens randomly but these were the steps to reproduce:
Open "Software Sources"
Select "Other Software" tab
Select an unselected PPA
Unselect the previously selected PPA
Click "Close"
