here's another one of those gotchas... alsa_record_playback_automated works best when you use a 3.5mm patch cable connecting the headphone jack to the mic jac. (assuming of course that the levels are properly set). If this test consistently fails, try it with a patch cable and see if the outcome is any different. You can also do this outside of checkbox by running the audio_test script as is: $ audio_test; echo $? -- Jeff Lane - Hardware Certification Engineer and Test Tools Developer Ubuntu Ham: W4KDH Freenode IRC: bladernr or bladernr_ gpg: 1024D/3A14B2DD 8C88 B076 0DD7 B404 1417 C466 4ABD 3635 3A14 B2DD -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/947265 Title: [Lenovo e320] - Checkbox - audio/alsa_record_playback_automated fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/checkbox/+bug/947265/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
