I must say that I have a hard time believing that this bug was marked WONTFIX. Installing one package breaks an unrelated package (from the point of the user: I use KDE on the desktop where I develop mysql webapps; I should not need to know that Akonadi uses MySQL inside).
According to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Importance, a bug is critical if it "severely affects applications beyond the package responsible for the root cause". I think this bug fixes this description, because just installing mysql-server-5.1 breaks kaddressbook completely. Please reopen the bug and fix the underlying issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to akonadi in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/885427 Title: installing mysql-server-5.1 makes akonadi fail because of apparmor rules To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/akonadi/+bug/885427/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
