I can't think of a reason why this wouldn't work. Has anything else changed in the environment? Are you now trying this behind a firewall that wasn't there before?
For better chances of resolving this, you should attach logs from vpnc, preferably debugging logs. You can achieve this easily by starting vpnc with --debug 3 ** Visibility changed to: Private ** Description changed: i'm using 3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7 14:56:25 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux, i have problems with vpnc version 0.5.3, - root@my_computer:/etc/vpnc# vpnc my_company - Password for VPN user [email protected]: - Password for VPN user [email protected]: - Password for VPN user [email protected]: - Password for VPN user [email protected]: + root@my_computer:/etc/vpnc# vpnc my_company + Password for VPN user [email protected]: + Password for VPN user [email protected]: + Password for VPN user [email protected]: + Password for VPN user [email protected]: vpnc: no response from target - - i put 4 times the password and doesn't connect, + i put 4 times the password and doesn't connect, my config file: #IPSec gateway my.vpn.gateway #IPSec ID my.ipsec.id #IPSec secret mysecret # your username goes here: #Xauth username IPSec gateway xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx IPSec ID mariano@xxxxxxxx IKE Authmode psk - IPSec secret topsecret + IPSec secret xxxxxxx IKE DH Group dh2 Vendor netscreen IPSEC target network 10.60.0.0/255.255.240.0 Perfect Forward Secrecy nopfs Xauth username user mariano - Xauth password prueba + Xauth password xxxxxx NAT Traversal Mode natt this same configuration i has used on ubuntu 10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/949426 Title: "vpnc: no response from target" vpnc version 0.5.3 on ubuntu 11 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vpnc/+bug/949426/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
