Strangely enough, I seem to remember a time when UNR did actually work
with the webcam on my eeepc 701, but it may have been easypeasy.
anyhow, it doesnt work now in that cheese closes automatically when
starting up, and skype fails when you try to test the webcam. ive
checked the bios and the webcam is defiately enabled
this is what i get from cheese -v :
Cheese 2.26.0

The program 'cheese' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
(Details: serial 70 error_code 11 request_code 132 minor_code 19)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
I could play with this program but im hoping not to reinvent the wheel
