I'm not sure if this is helpful. Monitored xinput on device 9 (my touch screen controller, see list above) when triggering bug. Bit difficult to catch, because when input stops working, I needed to switch to console (with DISPLAY=:0 opened with "xhost +") and "xinput test 9" buffers output until "stop lightdm". Maybe the "a[2]=0" visible at end triggers the bug.
