Public bug reported:

As one can see in the attached screenshot, the widgets in rhythmbox are
misalligned. The slider that depicts progress through the song obstructs
the name of the song and the artist. Also, the bottom of the album cover
should be flush with the bottom of the track list, but it is not.

The environment is xfce as installed from xubuntu-desktop

It is possible that this was not an issue before changing the xfce style
to radiance and then back to graybird, but at this point, reverting to
the original theming does not resolve the issue.
