thanks for the patch.  The headers don't mention whether you intend to
forward it?

If this is to be a (admittedly small) delta, can you explain a bit more
why it's needed?  Is it just a convenience issue, or is it the only way
to achieve something on openstack (for instance)?  Is it safe to use on
all chips that support qemu64?
