i've experienced the same trouble with thunar (xubuntu 11.10 encrypted on amd64) :
right click in thunar / create document (even without clicking on it, note that its menu doesn't appear properly) and freeze. the mouse moves but clicking has no action, alt-ctl-F1 works, thunar uses 100% of the CPU, kill - 9 and back to GUI works. .xsession-errors says : (thunar:3739): Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_window_get_window_type: assertion `GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed also, right click on the desktop / create from template / empty file works (nothing in.xsession-errors) but opening leafpad and saving the file gives: (leafpad:3829): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to retrieve the file info for `file:///home/mmanu/test': Error stating file '/home/mmanu/test': No such file or directory for information, i've changed the places' names in .config/user- dirs.dirs -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/714349 Title: Thunar crashed with SIGSEGV in thunarx_menu_provider_get_file_actions() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunar/+bug/714349/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
