Public bug reported:

An update to dapper broke my network printing config.

After upgrading to cupsys 1.2.2-0ubuntu0.6.06 which appeared recently in
dapper-updates, network printing fails mysteriously.

My printer is connected to a box running Woody which has an old version
of cups: 1.1.14-5woody12. After the upgrade, all print jobs fails. On
the server everything seems to be working fine. The printer even seems
to receive a job since it turn some lights on, but nothing is printed.
In the error_log, I don't have any significant error message. I once got
a:

I [23/Aug/2006:15:40:14 -0400] Job 1331 queued on 'Levi_Strauss' by 'guest'.
I [23/Aug/2006:15:40:14 -0400] Started filter /usr/lib/cups/filter/cupsomatic
(PID 27325) for job 1331.
I [23/Aug/2006:15:40:14 -0400] Started backend /usr/lib/cups/backend/parallel
(PID 27326) for job 1331.
E [23/Aug/2006:15:42:34 -0400] Bad request line "g"!

but the jobs requested before that had only the first three lines (Job
#, Started filter, Started backend)

My printer is a Brother HL-1250 and I'm using the foomatic + hl1250 GS driver.

Downgrading to 1.2.0-0ubuntu5 solved the problem
