I to have to concur with Phillip and Sitsofe here is my lsmod output for libata (ICH6)
libata 125720 1 ata_generic scsi_mod 142348 3 sr_mod,sbp2,libata note a distinct lack of ata_piix so no cyclic argument ata_piix just doesn't get a look in Though I think we may be seeing the results of a 'fix' for the Debian issue. It is not so much the Driver with an issue (its not loaded) but the hardware detection (who gets to drive what) -- SATA disk is in PATA mode with kernel 2.6.20-16-generic (piix claiming SATA controller on ICH4/ICH5 boards) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116996 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
