Does it still happening? If so, can you try to reproduce it in safe mode
(e.g. in a xterm type 'firefox -safe-mode') and describe the steps that
lead to the crash.
Also, which extensions/plugins do you have enabled?

So maybe the problem is that when you wake from hibernate and have lost
IP connectivity, and a Firefox extension (like the delicious addon)
tries to run its scripts, it can crash Firefox?
