Same issue on Ubuntu 12.04 beta 1. It's a big problem since it looks like the easiest way to handle calendars on this version of Ubuntu : - Sunbird is not supported any more - Evolution has been replaced by Thunderbird on the Ubuntu CD
Lightning works quite well in my opinion, and is well integrated with Thunderbird.
