Public bug reported:

This bug occurred after I tried Steve Langasek's workaround for the bug
#953953, which I had filed earlier.

The output of sudo apt-get -f install is as follows:

sommen@sommen:~$ sudo apt-get -f install

The package system is still broken because dependency problems.
Is there a workaround for this, apart from a fresh install?
