I had not been able to access the GRUB menu by holding the LEFT-SHIFT
key. So I changed things in /etc/default/grub :

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="i915.i915_enable_rc6=0"

And I ran # update-grub

I seems to be FAR more better. No crash after first reboot, I'm using
the "standard" Unity WM (not "Unity 2D") which was almost impossible 5
minutes ago.

Do you want me to run some more tests ?
