Today, I haven't been able to re-produce this behaviour. No Crashes. I
am able to open a similar OOo document from hard-disk, in Abiword using
the same live CD of Xubuntu 12.04 Daily Build Alpha from Jan 24, 2012.

So, maybe the Crashing behaviour and unability to re-open the document
is now longer pertinent. Why I don't know?

What is different, when closing the Abiword openend OOo, when I made
changes to the document, it would signal that the changes could not be
read, and would close and re-open without the changes. This may
represent proper behaviour on a live CD, I don't know. I didn't try this
before, as it crashed when I tried to save "supposed changes -> none
that I was aware of), and wouldn't re-open.

The reproducible behaviour, I just tried, produced a more satisfactory
result, with no crashes.
